Living Life on the Road
One of the problems of emerging yourself in this adventure is that life has a funny way of throwing a wrench into the best intentions. We had planned on bringing a blog on a fairly regular basis. Alas, that has not been the case. While the ladies of the team have been running smoothly, Jay and I's Rickshaw has encountered nightmare after nightmare putting us into some pretty wacky situations that I NEVER thought I would be in. I will write about them, but for the time check out or new "sister" team Ragged Glory. While I have been on a non-stop race of catch-up, we have been riding in tandem with RG. http://rickshawrun09e.theadventurists.com/index.php?mode=teamwebsites&na...
We are now on the final stretch. All Rickshaws seem to be in one piece and running as they should. The roads are finally clear of potholes and the weather has cooled down to a pleasant temperature, further adding confidence in Lucknow Be 2 Laides actually finishing this as a team, on finishing day. The next blog will be from Goa as we are gearing up for the last 150km stretch. Frozen Margaritas by 1pm (please please please) The Gulf News has asked us to keep a travel diary which we have been doing. It will detail our trip and encounters and will be published in print and online. I will make sure when it is available that everyone knows where to look. We have an inside connection at the BBC, so it is quite possible that you will catch a glimpse of us on the television at some point, so you can put faces to the names you read about. Or just look at Ragged Glory's pictures. Off to the Finish!!
